A Brief Encounter with a Real Hero

I was really touched by an incident I witnessed two days ago. While waiting at the traffic light, I saw one gentleman leave the comfort of his air-conditioned car, pick up a small dead bird lying on the hot asphalt surface & place it gently on the shaded grassy surface away from traffic & then resume his driving.

It all happened in a matter of few seconds but it really left me spell bound & almost brought tears to my eyes. Strange are the ways of son of Adam, I thought. There are some who are blood thirsty for their own kind & then there are others who never let go of an opportunity to show their mercy towards other creatures of the Creator.

When was the last time you witnessed a similar incident which left you lost for words? Do share your thoughts :-)

mashallah!!
there was this guy who was speeding
in a street which seemed an empty street, he didn't notice that there was a cat infront of him, he didn't notice coz it was so dark at night.when he noticed that he was gonna kill the cat,and apparently he couldn't reduce the speed in a short time! he twisted his car to another side so he wont kill the cat, but his car got crashed inside a store and he died..

that's really got into me <_<"

I saw a lady milk a goat, then put the milk in a baby's milk bottle and feed the goat's baby cuz the baby was to weak to suck milk out of its mother. That lady would do it daily.. cuz it felt sorry for the little goat.

In 2003 I was driving in dense fog to Houston for my trip to Istanbul, Turkey at 3 am. Every single car about ten in all ran over a huge dead cow in the road, including me. I was scared too death. Finally, a man who was nearing 70 got out and received help from his 50 something son to move the body out of the road. It was very dangerous and amazing to see this fearless older man.

I witness many~ still there are good people in this word, and to say the truth, the one act that affect me, is almost the same as I thought! ... the difference is that the guy took the small bird to his nest again, and then he continued his way.

I haven't seen any here in a long time dear, or maybe I'm just taking the wrong routes :p

The post has made me reflect a bit though.

My friends and I were walking somewhere and one of them, Jihad, found a kitten in the middle of a busy street. He ran and swiped he kitty off the asphalt and into the curb before a 10-wheeler truck could plow through the poor thing!

AA Dubai Guy!

It's been a while since I've come by, looks like I've missed out on some good reads. Especially the comments, which seem more inspiring than any memory I could come up about bird-like mercy filled moments in my life.

Not that I don't have any, mercy is everywhere, sometimes so big it makes my heart fill up with air like it's going to explode from all the beauty, the mercy.

Keep writing young man, people enjoy this :)

Peace,
Q

Thanks for sharing this lovely story... ^_^ Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to do that coz it'd make me feel nauxious... but as we all know:

لا يكلف الله نفسا الا وسعها

So, I keep to removing bread or obstacles (other than dead species) from the road...

Ramadan Kareem to you and to all at Blogger! :)

Salam :) i love hearing about such things. My bro is like that. He always, without fail, stops to move a dead cat/dog. He actually carries plastic bags/newspapers in his boot (that's "trunk" 4 our american friends) just in case.
A couple of months ago, a stray dog suddenly ran into the street and while i tried my best to avoid hitting it, i did. I was so distressed, called my brother, he told me to pick him up so that we could go back and move the dog from the street. I thought I had killed the dog. But, when we went back, there was no trace of the dog, it seems i had knocked it and it managed to limp away. My bro didn't give up tho, he canvassed the entire area til he found it and tried to catch it so that we could sent it to the vet. Unfortunately it was too scared and just continued to limp away. His re7ma just blows me away...
